Coffee: which is stronger?!

Question:

Coffee: which is stronger?

A double macchiato or a tall regular? I was wondering because a double macchiato is two shots of pure concentrated coffee, but it's when i have a tall regular that i have trouble sleeping at night.

good info rob j. Btw, i hate those pussified caramel froth drinks at starbucks. Brewed coffee has a great deal more caffeine content than the espresso that is used in a Macchiato--in fact, there is more than twice as much caffeine in a 'grande' (320 mg) than in the double-shot of espresso (150 mg). As a side note, a traditional Macchiato is defined as 'espresso marked with milk'; i.e. a double shot of espresso with a touch of milk or cream, and not the caramel frothy thing they make at Starbucks... http://www.cspinet.org/new/cafchart.htm... humm, good question... well the regular is just brewed coffee and their coffee is pretty strong... the flavoured coffee is always less stronger too. Drip coffee has a higher caffeine content than both of those that you mentioned. The quick concentration of the espresso actually decreases the level of caffeine as opposed to the slow perk of drip coffee. And, if you want a real jolt, Mountain Dew has the highest caffeine content. "Double" espresso by far but
a regular tall would be stronger than a "single" macchiato.
