How will you dilute water?
Answers: boil it..it will evaporate... With more water. With Vodka. Mix it with orange juice? I don't think its possible......... Heat it up. The steam would make it dilute. You won't...but it should be great fun to try! Or stump the Yahoo Answers crowd.......... Well it depends on what you're using the water for. Diluting it can mean to weaken its strength...and water will have different strengths to do certain tasks.
For example, if you are using the water as an insulator, adding salt would dilute it.
There's a good example in cars actually. Coolant is a mixture of water and ethylene glycol (or variant), usually 50/50. The purpose of the ethylene glycol is to prevent corrosion and to prevent freezing, but it does not enhance the ability to dissipate heat. So as a coolant, the ethylene glycol is "diluting" the water.
