Whats the difference in evaporated milk and condensed milk?!

Question:

Whats the difference in evaporated milk and condensed milk?

Answers: Condensed milk is sweetened and has a lovely light caramel taste to it. Evaporated milk is just thicker milk. If you're not used to the taste, it can taste 'funny' just because it's different. Condensed milk is often used in making candies and frostings.

They're not interchangeable in recipes. Evaporated milk is wonderful in coffee or tea, but I wouldn't use condensed for that because it's so very sweet. Condensed milk might be good (diluted with regular milk or evaporated milk) in a hot cocoa recipe, though. evaporated milk has had 40% of the water removed.

condensed milk is evaporated milk with sugar added to it and cooked to remove even more water. one's evaporated and one's condensed :) no really, one is just like milk except it's in a can and you can use it in recipes that call for milk, and the other one is a gooey substance that tastes great! it's sweet and usually used in desserts. evaporated is just less water in it.
condensed is less water and lots of water added.

huge difference in the recipe I don't know.
I just bought a can of evaporated milk at the store last night.
Brought it home and when I opened it - it was empty.
