This isn't about diet soda... it's about regular and caffeine free. Caffeine is natural in cola nuts and is also an additive to some products. Anytime you "add" or remove ingredients it wil change the flavor. Yes they do taste slightly different. It's just you. They taste *significantly* different. Pepsi is appealing, and Diet Pepsi is revolting. personally, i prefer coke. If you say Regular coke vs. diet coke... it depends if you want it to taste more sugary i would choose diet.
