Sparkling mineral water?!

Question:

Sparkling mineral water?

Is there any evidence that this is bad for you in any way? I don't really like regular water and I am trying to drink less squash as its full of sugar so is 8 glasses of sparkling with a slice of lemon ok???

Answers: I don't believe that there is any harm in sparkling water.
I have been drinking it for many years, with no apparent ill- effect.
My friends in mainland Europe used to drink 2 - 3 litres a day
and I picked up the habit from them.
I really don't like any of the soft drinks on the market, as they are all too sweet for me.
Possible word of warning, go easy on the lemon as it is very acidic and could have a build -up effect. Try just ice and water, or just chill the sparkling water. Totally better for you than squash (whatever that is). HOWEVER: it's been said that too much of this stuff can cause kidney stones. See here for more info: http://www.aquatechnology.net/frame47510... why don't u try soda water its corbonated water with no sugar, and a slice of lemon will be nice. Try "Pedras Salgadas" Portuguese mineral water naturally a bit sparkling from the source, don't know how but it's all natural from the source.
Good luck with the answers, and a star. why is it that the advertising hook is that it has spent so many thousand's of years filtering down through stone to purify it-
it has a sell by date on the bottle?
drink as much as you like hun, leaves more red wine for me You do have to be careful with some of the Sparkling mineral waters if you drink them in access. The salts extra can give you gall or kidney stones.
Lemon juice can also attack the enamel on your teeth, though it is probably no worse than the squash you have been drinking.
I'd keep it to a couple of glasses a day. This is a good principle for everything! The only thing negative about it is the sugar or salt, read the ingredients, there might be added sodium, sugar or artificial sweetener in it.
