it's sad to see people drink :( Well I live in the south, prohibition is alive and kicking at least on Sundays down here in the bible belt. I shop on Saturdays though. Cheers!!! Are you crazy, you want Hitler back too or how about the great depression or slavery juss cuz you cant get down don't mean other people shouldn't. It got worse during prohibition because the legitimate manufactures were replaced by gangsters. People drank anyhow. no--we have enough problems Back in prohibition times, there were probably more alcoholic substances flowing than there are now. Just don't drink the stuff if you don't want to. People are funny creatures, as they will do what they damn well please.

Prohibition was a colossal failure, pure and simple. Hundreds of people died needlessly, owing to greed and cupidity. While I don't think prohibition is a good idea, I certainly wish our society revolved much less around drinking. Too many people try to point to college binge drinking as a major problem, but concentrating on college kids only masks the fact that most of adult social life is centered on drinking too. Unfortunately, drinking has been a major part of life for centuries, probably millenia, so trying to ban it through some sort of prohibition is doomed to failure. Prohibition gave us organized crime. The mafia was born then and graduated as a leader in the crime business.
Do you want more of that? yea, just to avoid the drunk driving incidents. innocent people get killed every year because of alcohol related accidents
