i was born & raised in Karlsruhe , Germany You can get them at pharmacies, but they won't be on display, you'll have to ask, the German word is Kondom for one and Kondome for two or more. "Ich m?chte eine Packung Kondome, bitte" is what you should say to the person behind the counter.
Unless the supermarket is very small, they should also have them - usually in the same corner as band-aids.
But you best is going to a Drogerie, which is essentially like Superdrugs or CVS. Some chains that you will find across the whole country are dm, Rossmann, Ihr Platz and Schlecker. Finally, a word of the wise: DON'T get your condoms from a vending machine. They have often been in there for ages and at varying temperatures, so they won't be very effective.
