Can you taste a major difference between tap water and bottled water?!

Question:

Can you taste a major difference between tap water and bottled water?

Answers: Depends on where you are getting your tap water and what brand of bottled water, both Coke and Pepsi were recently forced to change their brands of water (Dasani and Aquafina respectively) labels to reflect that they were little more than actual tap water. Why waste your money, unless your tap water is absolutely horrid? And even if your water is horrid, invest in a much more economical water conditioner of some sort. And, and not only that, it is exorbantly expensive and very enviromentally unfreindly. (No I am not a tree hugger, but where something is almost purely wasteful and enviromently detrimental, I will climb up on my soapbox) read the three links below and let me know what you think. http://money.cnn.com/2007/04/24/news/eco... Not really. I get the impression that bottled water is just tap water in a sterilized bottle! I'm not sure. I don't think so. I think that they taste the same, ecxept for Hikinley Springs water and Dasani. they have added minerals that taste different. Yes! tap water tastes more bitter and just different but bottled water tastes plain and it doesnt have any strange taste to it. Yes i can, i cant abide tap water anyway. sometimes when running the tap you can smell the floride and cholramine in it.
I cant bear the taste of any water either. Kind of. But only if it's well water really, which is grrosss. I just can't bring myself to drink tap water anyway, for some reason. I guess it's just not cold enough? haha. It depends on the tap water but bottled water ALWAYS tastes like plastic to me. Why waste money? If you're that worried about tap water by a charcoal filter. Like an above answerer said, a lot of bottled water actually is tap water. The only difference is bottled is filtered and purified by reverse osmosis.
If you want to taste really clean water, go to a Starbucks and just order a water. You will be able to taste a huge difference between tap and that clean water.
