What's so special about Fiji water?!

Question:

What's so special about Fiji water?

Does the fact that it comes straight from Fiji make any difference? Is there filtering system any better than anyone else's? I think it tastes better than other water, but am I just letting myself be fooled? Some solid answers with facts and reasoning behind it would be nice, none of this lover/hater useless information.

Answers: You should conduct a taste test for yourself. You'll find that Fuji water tastes very clean. I rarely buy bottled water, but when I do, it's always Fuji. Not a darn thing. The company behind FIJI Water claims that it is purified by trade winds as it travels across the Pacific Ocean towards the islands of Fiji. Specifically, the water is drawn from an artesian aquifer[1] located in the valley of Viti Levu, confined by volcanic rock from external influence. The company claims that in the case of FIJI Water, location is key, and because of the islands' remote displacement from other continents, it is protected by its antiquity from pollutants and other negative artificial contaminants.

FIJI Water is sealed in the aquifer and, according to the company, the bottling process is specifically designed to prevent the water from coming into contact with man or even the atmosphere until the cap is opened by the consumer. This ensures a lack of stagnating bacterial content.[2] Sorry, I don't have a solid answer for you. But it's my fave, too. It really does taste better than the other bottled water. I can't wait to see what answers you get b/c I've wondered the same thing, too. Nothing, that just say it has specal things in it to make you do better. Water is water. it does not have a sweet taste to it I see no different in that
water. the lable, the only bottled water that is still made with just plain ol' water, and doesnt have the added in vitamins is deer park, the others may claim 2 b pure, but they're not I am a former chef and have had 100's of different mineral and bottled water, like the craze during the 70's with Perrier, it is a marketing thing, I had one form Indian and the Himilayian mountians, it is just a way to market the local spring water.

Whether it be a sparkling one, still or just a natural spring water, it all is based on the trace minerals salts and other beneficial properties. I tend to prefer tap water over bottled water. The reality is that tap water tends to be healthier and cleaner as well, and at least in my area (Irvine,CA) , the tap is up there in taste, in some cases even surpassing the bottled stuff. But Fiji is an exception. It truly is luxurious in that it's just smoother and less alkaline tasting. I have no idea if the water actually comes from Fiji, but the first time I tried Fiji, I thought OMG, this is what water is supposed to taste like. There is a distinct difference between this stuff and others. My feeling is that it has nothing to do with the filtration. It has to do with the types of minerals in the water which comes from the source or the treatment of the water.
