How long after you open a jar of instant coffee (such as Folgers) does it start to taste bad?!

Question: not with the special seal canisters, just regular jars.

Answers: not with the special seal canisters, just regular jars.
Is it not nice when you ask a question to get opinions not real answer, these knee jerks are just stone againist instant coffee to begin with.

I am a former chef and have ahd instant coffees from all over the world, I worked in Canada, Jamaica, Singapore and Japan. I have been partial to freeze dired and none go bad if the jar it is in is closed, some dependent on the quality of the coffee used and the way it was processed is the key.

I have been drinking instant for years, more for the convienence and it is less trouble for 1 cup at a time, Tasters Choice, Nestle, Folgers Crystals and years ago Chock Full O' Nuts made a nice one. But it does not go bad, stale over a period of years not months, I go through a 200 gram (4 oz) jar here in Canada in around 2 months, I have one 12 ounce cup a day.
From the get-go.
Instant coffee baaaaad.
From the very first second it's opened. Nothing like fresh brewed.
There is no such thing as "good" instant coffee to begin with. It tastes bad , well, from the INSTANT you open the container. No method of storage will improve the repugnance of the stuff. And, get this: you went from bad to worse when you opted for, what I think, is the nastiest coffee brand available. Folger's in unacceptable at best. I won't drink it fresh brewed if it was free. I don't know why you are thinking of consuming instant "coffee" (yeah, sure it's coffee), but my suggestion to you is to un-switch to Sanka (hahahah, from and old TV commercial), and invest in the real thing. Really now.
Yup...tastes bad from the second you open it.
Its bad before you even open it . Instant coffee Really.
If it smells bad, it'll taste bad. As soon as you open it, store in the FREEZER until it is used up, it will last for years that way! My mother kept instant decaf around that way for relatives that visited once a year. Her last jar was 5 years old when she finally served the last of it.
