Making cappucinos at home? Who is the expert?!

Question: Is it absolutely necessary to have that special container to steam the milk, or can I use a regular coffee mug? I just wonder if the steaming might break the glass.

It's perfectly okay to use a regular coffee mug (I've been doing it for many years) but if you want to do it 'like a professional', you can use one of those little metal pitchers like you see in restaurants.
I've never had a problem with sticking the foaming nozzle into my coffee cup to froth the milk up. I use regular coffee mugs.
Hope this helps.
it will at the same time it wont break because well i know cause its HOT DAMMIT!!

but i would probably use a plastic container that can take heats use a thick one so you wont burn urself (DUR DUR DUR DUR)

dont use glass it could crack also and burn you while it breaks or pops or whatever it does cause i suck at science
