Answers: Hand ground of course. My dad used to make like that when we were small.
i just ground mine a few minutes ago. now enjoying a fresh cup of flavorful coffee. the oils begin to oxidize rapidly once ground. tends to throw off the flavor.
I've never heard of coffee being ground by hand. But I reckon the coffee would taste better than store ground.
Ground as needed at home is best.
It's best to grind your coffee just before making it. Store whole bean coffee in the freezer and preground in the fridge for freshness.
