How much dehydrated water do I need for a two week road trip?!

Question: My friends and I are going on a road trip for two weeks. There are four of us. We're buying a bunch of dehydrated food and drinks to save space. We found a place that sells dehydrated water for 60 cents per gallon, so we're thinking about buying some. How many gallons of dehydrated water should we bring? We are worried that if we don't bring enough that we would have to drink local water.

Also does evian come in dehydrated form?

well that is a good price for it. You should probably get at least 1 gallon of dehydrated water, per person, per day- now I know it seems like you would need more but you have to keep in mind that it is highly concentrated. sorry but I don't think Evian comes in dehydrated form but Perrier might.
Why don't you e-mail Steven Wright and ask him?

i love this question
I have some swampland in Florida I'd like to sell you.......

give me a jingle
You can't get dehydrated evian. One gallon per day should be enough for the four of you.
this question is down right awesome.
I'm a little confused. how can water be dehydrated? Dehydrated mean lacking water. odd.
A normally active person needs to drink at least two quarts of water each day. Hot environments can double that amount. At least one gallon per person, per day.
Evian??? Sure!!! Just look at a long-empty open bottle... it'll be dehydrated for sure!!!! (Take lots... VERY light to carry!)
Make sure you bring enough water to reydrate the dehydrated water. At least a gallon per day per person.
hahaha, you are funny...dehydrated....Just bring empty gallon jugs with you and save the .60.
Take some water from your kitchen and pack it up so you won't forget.
i would say 56 bottles if you drink 4 a day.
I've heard of dehydrated milk, but not water....are you sure about the product you saw? Because for anything that is dehydrated to become hydrated again...like milk, you need water....so either your confused or I am, which is it?
I would take 1 gallon per person per day for drinking and 10 gallons per person per day for other things.
Dehydrated water is very light and compact so you will not have any trouble packing along 616 gallons of dehydrated h2o.
I don't think that evian comes in that form but you could ask your local pony keg to check about it.
This question is a gem! hehe :)
hmm...two weeks for four of you...if each of you drink about a gallon a day you would need about 56 gallons.

luckily it's dehydrated and won't take up much space...
Nah, just take some dihydros oxide.
Dehydrated water takes up no space at all, so I would buy as many packages as you can afford.
just drink the local water but with some iodine tablets. You get them in the camping section. Oh and in order to drink dehydrated water you have to rehydrate it so you would end up using local water anyway.
Take at least 10-12 gallons of the stuff. Follow the instructions carefully.
I sell it on my ocean front property in Arizona!
the main thing is not to forget to take filtered water to rehydrate the dehydrated water.
and the soup in a cup.
I would bring plenty of spring water to hydrate your de-hydrated water!
;-)
Oh. I'd say at two gallons-just to be 'safe'...and you never know. There might be a heavy drinker among you! lol
i think you should buy stock in the company
Well, in hydrated form you need 1 gallon per person per day. But, because it is dehydrated you just need to halve those numbers.
lol.. umm..
hopefully the directions don't say "just add water"..
that's a sweet price for empty jugs though.. stock up on those..
