Is there really no sugar in Coke Light?!

Question: I wish to know the specifics like the specific chemical compounds. Are there any sugar-like compounds or glucose variants in Coke Light? I left an empty can of Coke Light overnight and there were ants on it the next morning. Led me to believe that there is sugar in Coke Light, unless the ants were attracted by something else in it.

Diet Coke is sugar-free, sweetened with aspartame.

The ingredients in Diet Coke are listed in order of greatest to least amount:

* Carbonated Water
* Caramel Color
* Aspartame
* Phosphoric Acid
* Potassium Benzoate (to protect taste)
* Natural Flavors
* Citric Acid
* Caffeine
Ok nevermind I found out that Aspartame is one of the sugar substitutes used by people with diabetes. Report It

  • Im not sure about coke light, but in most other things that say no sugar, they really mean no sugar added. Which means there may be sugar in the product, but they didnt add it, it was just a result of the making of the product. Look at the ingredients. Then look up the big words you dont know, online to find out what it is and what is in it. Hope this helps.
    Read the label on the can and you will know exactly what is in it.
