How do you make a simple latte??!

Question: I want to be able to make just a simple-low calorie latte or any coffee and/or tea drink that doesn't require a ton of ingredients I probably don't have. Anyone have any recipes??

1 heaped teaspoon instant coffee granules.
1 teaspoon Splenda,
1 mug's worth of skimmed milk,
A small sprinkle of cinnamon (or low fat chocolate powder).

Put the coffee and Splenda in a mug.
Heat the milk in a pan on the stove until just before it boils (or you can heat it in a glass microwave-safe jug in the microwave).
Pour milk quickly into the mug (it will foam up nicely if you do it right).
Stir gently.
Add a sprinkle of cinnamon or chocolate powder on top (if you choose to, it's not essential).

That's it....easy. I'm not really sure why you're worried that it requires lots of ingredients, it's only coffee made with milk instead of water.

I'm not sure if you want to make a "latte" or a cappucino, or what. Either of those can have "other ingredients" too or be made with special equipment, but don't have to be.

I make myself a simple version of a cappucino every morning using only low fat milk and fat free milk (though you could use any fat level you want). The way I do it is to:

...make strong coffee any way you can (drip, perk, instant, etc.)... just use lots more coffee than you usually would, or less water
(I use a $5 plastic Melitta drip cone with a paper filter, and very-fine-ground Melitta coffee from a can--Safeway/etc.)
...... make enough of this strong coffee so that it will be about 2/3 or less the volume required for the cup you'll want to fill
...I add 2% milk to the strong coffee for a bit of richness till it's the "color" I like to drink
(...at this point, I add sugar but of course, that's not necessary)
...I reheat this coffee in the microwave while I do the last step:
...I pour a small amount of fat-free milk** into the cup I'll want to use, then "foam" it with a small battery powdered milk frother until it's as foamy as I want it (you can buy these are various places for $10-20, but the ones at Ikea for $2 are just as good:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/produc...
...then I pour the hot coffee from the microwave into the cup with the foamed milk in it (really tasty)

You can always add things to either the coffee or the foam or the top of the foam if you want that aren't expensive, like a little cinnamon or cocoa powder or vanilla, etc.

If you wanted this to be a "latte," you'd just use less coffee (but even stronger coffee) then add enough milk (or warm milk) to be about 1/3 the total coffee before you do the foaming.

**fat free actually works better than milk with fat in it
