Mt. Dew Headaches.....?!

Question: I have tried to stick to my diet, and other than the soda I do a good job. I want to know how to get rid of the soda craving without the withdrawls. I get a horrible headache and get soooo drowsy. Help me please.....

I have the same issue. I am addicted to Mt. Dew and CocaCola. Since we drink so much of it and it is filled with caffiene and sugar there is no way to stop with out going through withdrawls. That is the crappy part, it is an addiction to caffiene. You will experience those symptoms of headaches, drowsiness... But the good news is it won't last long. Maybe for a week and you will be detoxed from it and your body will get you to going without the caffeine. Just take tylenol in the mean time. Good Luck!
Do it gradually. You will get headaches if you stop drinking them altogether. After all day long with no caffeine..if you are ill, or have a headache, drink one. Or you could try diet--its not so bad either. Hope this helps!
hmmmm excedrin migraine . it has caffine in it
Drink less and less each day.

Go slow, let your body adjust.

For the soda craving switch to ginger ale or club soda with lemon.
slowly wean yourself off the soda.. go down to diet soda with no sugar in it.. and slowly change to juice instead of that. and make sure you keep up your water.. and then slowly just get rid of the soda all together.. its only doing bad to you anyways.. The headaches are just because ur missing the sugar.. so just add some fresh fruit juice into your diet instead
Caffeine withdrawal sucks; been there, done that. It can take weeks, but it's worth it. Try Aleve/Naproxen Sodium for the headaches.
Hm.. Same thing happens to me.
I think you should slooowwllyy get yourself off caffeine.
Either limit yourself to it,
or just drink diet pop, and maybe like.. One caffeinated beverage a month? Or every two weeks?
That happened to me when I came off pepsi. The only thing that seemed to work fro the headaches was time, it probably took 2-3 weeks.
If you are staying away from the sugar, try coffee to keep you awake. Water helps too.
You are suffering from caffeine withdrawal, which is a nasty thing. It could take over a week before you feel somewhat normal without the Mountain Dew's rather high caffeine content.

Or you could just reintroduce some caffeine into your diet. You could drink a cup of tea or coffee, or a diet cola. I've never had a diet Mt Dew, but I've seen it in the stores.
Ok first of all eat a healthy balance you crave because you don't eat your 3 meals a day. If you really want to lose wait try slim quick those are really good to lose those extra pounds. And for your headaches try to sleep your 8 hours everyday and eat a well diet and most important at all drink a lot of water and don't eat to late at night especially before going to bed avoid eating. ok Follow my instruction below and you will see results in no time. Take care
up your water intake
it will reduce your cravings
and
go to starbucks
for a small cup of coffee
Try to drink less, its probably the caffeine intake of mt.dew. All sodas have caffiene. Sprite doesn't have any or diet rite sodas, there also others that have no caffeine at all. You can always try a bit of mountain dew with some sprite, just split the intake. Or drink alot of water, tea, coffee, flavored water, juice.
