Answers: How Long Does it Take to Percolate Coffee

It depends on the size of your Percolator......I have an elector
one...makes 6 cups....so I put 6 teaspoons of coffee in it and
set the for 6 cups.....it does it by itself....stops when ready.

Now reading your question again, I do not think you have an elector Percolator.....so..lets try this:
fresh cold water........6 1/2 cups
Coffee.........................7 1/2 Tbsps
Heat water to boiling....allow to percolate about 10 minutes.
That is kind of strong coffee. See I put Tbsps..tablespoon..

If that is too strong, just reduce the amount of coffee you put in, until it comes out the way you desire.

That is alot of work, and you have to watch it or time it....
especially if you work......If I was you, I would get an elector
one....no worries....I even put mine on ( it has a clock on it)
so it starts percolating around 6:30AM and mmm, the smell even wakes me up...take my shower,go downstairs, pour myself ready made coffee, read the paper.....then get dressed and ready for the day.
