depends on your health risks, metabolism, other personal physical factors. personally, 3 should be enough for anyone, but usually isn't if addicted to caffeine.

1 is too much. Stop drinking for awhile to give your body a rest from the caffeine. Just like any intake, the caffeine accumulates to your body and increases its accumulated substance every time you drink.

It depends on your general health... caffeine can cause problems for those with high blood pressure or heart problems. They are told to limit consumption to less than 3 cups (and that's a six ounce cup and a huge mug) per day.
Well to me it depends on why u drink it. because u like it? or to stay a little energetic depending on if it works. If u really like it i would say about 2 because u dont need to be 2 addicted, not good, and because i would drink in the morning and in the afternoon. just b'cause u crave it doesnt make it a good decision.

Well, that depends on who you ask! LOL. If you ask me, I would say just insert a tube directly to my veins and let 'er rip! LOL.
If you listen to the doctors, you would ban it from your kitchen! But then, if you listen to the doctors you would pretty much ban everything from the food you eat to the blow dryer in the bathroom! LOL.

i reckon 2 is ok if u are insisting on taking one for breakfast (in the morning) and one later in the evening. 3 is once in a while but 4 is not good dont go over 4!!
just think of it as having a cup for breakfast lunch and dinner, no more after that, and if you do have more then thats too much.
Definitely depends on the person. I usually have 2 cups. Whatever you do, don't try to quit cold turkey. You will get a severe lack of caffeine headache. At least I do. Cut back gradually, like you would with any drug.
caffeine reacts differently in many people. I work with a girl who's allergic to it, bless her heart. Too much might give you heart palpitations or make you jittery, and unable to concentrate. experiment. If you like the taste, try decaf...
