Anti Starbucks?!

Question: Why do some people hate Starbucks?

Answers: Why do some people hate Starbucks?

It is just from the oldschool days of hanging out at a nice coffee shop. Starbucks was putting a lot of the small guys out of business and just taking over everything. I mean, really, they are TOO big, I live in chicago, their is one suburb that has two starbucks, quite literally across the street from each other....

I mean, the coffee isn't the best, but the main gripe is that starbucks is not the place to be if you are indie or goth or a hippie or etc, because it is "corporate". It all just comes down to people that don't conform, conforming to hate starbucks in order to be cool....

However, I will say, the small independent shops are a lot nicer with better and cheaper coffee (usually). Starbucks is like mcdonalds or burger king and your independent coffee shop is like an upscale steakhouse (usually, but again, not always). Also in larger cities, we do get annoyed with them being on EVERY single corner.

I don't hate Starbucks...I cannot stand their coffee. I much prefer Tim Hortons coffee.

idk but i love it

because their starbucks-coffee- haters..?

becuase the owner is jew

I've had much better coffee for a lot cheaper...

Maybe some people don't like the fact that it can get quite expensive. It's also sort of trendy and there are people who are against (or claim/think they are against) anything that is trendy.

I'm upset I didn't think of this business venture in coffee sooner. I'd be rich right now. That is pretty much what bothers me about starbucks. I love their coffee. Drinking out of their cup as I type. Cheers,

I use to hate star bucks because it was a yuppie coffee bar. Full of self serving rich people, star bucks always pissed me off. But guess what. I love coffee, and I've tried all the mom and pop places I can. My boyfriend took me to star bucks and I loved it. I really love the blurbs on the cups. They are great. I think one of them changed my life.

WHAT?! I'm surprised that someone actually hates Starbucks :)) Starbucks is <3

they are OVER PRICED !!

Don't really hate starbucks.... hate is such a strong word. I only use that to refer to my cheating, pathetic excuse for a man ex-bf! You know what I'd love?.... To throw a steaming hot grande ANYTHING at his sorry a**!!!!!!

Oh, and throw the change that's leftover from the $5 over priced beverage at the stripper skank he was cheating on me with. She could use it to go buy her drugs!

I luuuuuuuvvvvvvv Starbucks now! It has a whole new meaning and I'll have a big ole grin on my face everytime I drive by the one of their 5 million locations!!! Thanks for putting a smile on my face(it's been a while). ;-))

I refuse to even try it, because I've heard about the prices, and heard of people getting it everyday and being in a financial mess. I'd rather just be a simple girl who doesn't have to be spoiled, and gratify myself all the time & be happy with my Maxwell House.

they are too expensive ~ i think dunkin~donuts has better coffee =) and it's cheaper with delicious donuts~ mmmm

Because they like coffee.

There is far better coffee available to people. But due to the proliferation, and consequently the convenience, of Starbucks the venues for better coffee have disappeared.

Starbucks is to coffee what Krispy Kream is to donuts and Taco Bell is to Mexican food and McDonald's is to the hamburger.

Convenience and abundance is destroying something we liked.

Because everyone has different ideas of what is good - that's why we have choices. No matter what it is you are talking about, some people out there hate it.

Some people hate coffee, period including the smell and won't even give their non-coffee drinks a try becasue they're paranoid that they might slip coffee in when no one's looking. Others think they burn their grounds which makes the coffee taste burnt. I have never noticed that myself. Others hate it because they don't like paying the prices that are charged.
