Do you think people spend too much on beverages?!

Question: don't get me wrong, I love getting starbucks sometimes and mixed drinks at the bar, but in general, do you think people spend too much on hydrating their body? another example is buying a soda at a restaurant when it's sometimes 1/3 the price of their meal! or starbucks where a drink is pretty costly for what you get. Just my opinion, what do you think?

Yes, people spend WAY TOO MUCH on drinks
they should just get water, that is all thge body needs

I think people spend too much on bottled water when tap water will do fine.....

You forget about the biggest waste of money: bottled water.

Yes - you are right people spend way to much on what they drink when it's close to free out of the tap or much cheaper from the supermarket. However commercialism and society have moved us this way and many give into it.

Oh heck yes. We as a society seem to think the more money, the better it is. Like bottled water, I have to buy it, my well water is awful and discolored, so I get the cheap Sams Choice water. Starbucks is another over rated drink maker. I think it is like designer clothes, designer drinks.

Not really, you cant put a price to keep your body hydrated

no beverages give a good impression on the person or the party

Any drink with caffeine de-hydrates the body. Why people spend money on bottled water is a question I can't answer. I saw where one of the bigger companies of bottled water must now add to their label that it comes from a tap.

When eating out I always order just water. Not an interesting drink but it's free.

Yes, some do. I can't see buying bottled water unless there is trouble with the tap water. I keep a couple of 24 packs of bottled water on hand in case we have a hurricane or something that may cause water problems. It happened a few years ago and we couldn't use the tap water for a few days. I heard that there are so many plastic bottles around it's causing a terrific problem.

Yes.
Most people are just trying to impress others with the wealth they don't actually have. That is why we have so many folks with $10,000.00 to $25,000.00 in Credit card debt. Spending more than they make to impress people who are just as broke as them self.
Look, a 20lb. bag of green coffee beans runs about $120.00, you can get 1000 cups of coffee out of that bag, @ $4.50 each equals $4,500 a bag. would be $4,380.00 profit, oh, time $6.50 an hour to the 'specialist'. Yeah, $4,300.00 profit off a bag of beans...Oh, I'm sorry, *$'s buys the lesser quality and roasts it up dark so the profit would be closer to $4,400.00...
So yeah, people are paying too much for their drinks.
