What is the key in key lime? is key lime different than lime??!

Question: Being a former chef and having used fresh one and juice for different recipes, correct it is a small citrus fruit, no as green as the persian lime, more juice for it's size than the others, you cannuse the juice and rind in recipes.

Size wise it is a bit larger than a kumquat, more like a large cherry tomato, and are generally sold in bags of 12-14. Even here in Canada we get them more now, I used to buy the juice from Oriental markets, as it is like the Vietnamese and Thai limes in flavour.
