Why is drinking room temp. water better then drinking cold.?!
Answers: i always wondered that.
Well drinking room temp water before meals helps decrease your appetite so you don't each as much, therefore gaining weight is hard to do. If your working out, cold (not ice cold) but cold water helps the body regenerate and is therefore more effective in burning calories. I would recommend drinking hot water w/ lemon in the morning (it starts a body flush) warm water 15 minutes before meals, cold during meals and workouts. if you can't do that, drink what you like, because water is the best thing for you.
I think that's more opinion than fact. It's a matter of personal preference.
what I've heard, and after spending many hours backpacking, is that your body absorbs water when it's the temperature of your body. drinking warm water isn't very satisfying, but room temp. water can be satisfying and more easily absorbed. Cold water can help if you're overheated, but generally hydration can do that well enough. It's not something worth worrying about unless you're in extreme conditions and need to stay hydrated against the odds. but it is kinda an interesting fact that our bodies have to put energy into heating that up before they can use the water.
