The only real difference is that the tap water is a lot cheaper.

none no differance yorkshire water is loverly

Tap water is recycled, bottled water isn't.

This entirely depends on where you live. If you live in the mountains of Scotland then your tap water will be pretty much as good as bottled water. If you live in Madrid then the bottled water is the best option because the water there cannot be trusted.

Tap water is better than a lot of bottled water. At least you know that with tap water a sheep hasn't peed in it.

bottled water will generally have less impurities which some say gives it a nicer flavour. In terms of health effects there is no difference. infact it could be argued that tap water is better because chlorine is added to it which kills off potentailly harmful bacteria

I once did an experiment with cups of water. a) Tap water b) supermarket-brand natural water c) Evian water, that cost much more

B won the taste test unanimously, but to answer your question 90% of the UK has tapwater that is just as safe and good as mineral water. It's clever marketing and what the hell, Evian is cheaper than Coke and better for you anyway.

Bottled water costs more. It is just H2O. A real rip-off. Mains water companies may add some things (in miniscule amounts) such as flouride.

Why does mineral water advertised as from a source "thousands of years old" have a sell-by date?

Bottled water is the best option because it is recycled, t\p water can be worse for you because of the chlorine and it has been recycled.

dont they say bottle water has stuff init that is bad for you
dont no wat they are tho

Domestic tap water legally has to go through so many purification processes, which "natural spring water" doesn't, so the "council pop" is safer. The water from the River Thames is drunk 5 times on its way to the sea; if it wasn't purified correctly, the people at the end would be constantly suffering upset stomachs.

Anyway, all the water on the planet has been drunk at least once.

Do you remember the "Only Fools and Horses" episode where they bottled tap water? It's those who buy bottled water who are the fools.
