No it can't make you fat. What DOES make you fat is not drinking enough water, not getting the right nutrients, not eating the right things, eating too much, and not enough exercise. You should only drink diet soda, but there's no need to completely cut it out of your day either.
well actually, diet is worse for you then regular because regular may contain sugar, but diet contains all sorts of substitutions that arent healthy for u.
Drinking too much diet sodas can cause problems as well.
Switch to a diet, no caffeine and try to limit to 1 or 2 a day.
I would by no means say Diet is worse than regular. You've taken a huge step cutting out all that sugar. Good job.

My biggest weakness is soda. I tried to switch and cut them out but I can't do it! Congrats on making the switch...By the way I worked in a weight loss clinic for 2 years as a weight loss counslor according to the plan where I worked ( a very higly respectable business) you could have up to 32 oz of diet soda per day.
From a practical standpoint, diet soda contains no calories. You won't gain weight from drinking it. Some of the artificial sweeteners contained in diet soda, like aspartame and saccharine, may not be good for you though. Research has linked aspartame, for example, to diseases such as brain tumors, brain lesions, and lymphoma.
be happy or live miserable worried about diet soda being fattening, that is an oxymoron right? if you must, try to stay away from the ones containing Aspartame, many people are allergic to the Aspartame (I get migraines from this ingredient) that doesn't leave many to choose from. If you can find one with the ingredient Stevia in it; it is the best, if not go for the ones with Splenda. though it is relatively new to the market we don't know all of the side effects this can give us. I love my soda also, yet I do try to just enjoy H2O.
The sweeteners in diet soda are addictive and upset some internal organ; the spleen, I think. And also the brain. They create an ill feeling which gets worse over time. Look out for it; you may feel it. However, they are definitely not fattening.
diet sodas cause problems which are even worse.try this.......aerated water without sugar its good..if u want the taste try water + a spoon of lemon juice+aeration .......this is my favourite
get your self some barley water that will put you wright do away with any soda or fizzy drinks thy will make you fell full drink it all the time but not to strong that will sort you out
