How many pounds does 100 gallons of milk weigh?!

Question: The density of milk changes, depending on the temperature and consistency of the milk.

However, the weight of 100 gallons of full fat milk out of the fridge would weigh about 860lb.

Check out this list for different densities and temperatures:

Most liquid weighs 8 lbs. a gallon so.........800 lbs.

Milk is mostly water, it would probably weigh a little less than 100 gallons of water because milk contains some fat too, and fat has a lower density. Maybe you can look up the density of milk somewhere (it also depends on the fat percentage of the milk). I would also advise to convert the gallons to liters and the pounds to kilos. 1 liter of water = 1 kg.

I found this site with densities:

So actually most milk is a little bit heavier than water (despite the fat). I think you can use 1 liter of water = 1 kg. You look up the conversion tables to gallons and pounds :-) good luck

weigh 1 gallon of milk and then multiply it by 100 =)
