Answers: Tea should never be bitter. You steeped it too long, then any tea becomes bitter. Max is 5 minutes, steeping for 3-4 minutes will yield in perfect results.

If you're talking about ice tea, it was probably brewed too long or if it's over a day old.
Tannins in the leaves. If you steep too long, the tannins get more bitter. Try steeping only 3 minutes or so.
add extra quantity of boiled milk or condenced milk which will give a good taste. is it ok ?
You boiled the water and over brewed the tea .
Water should come to a boiling point in the tea pot , let it sit for a minute , then pour it over the tea bag , cover the tea cup with your saucer , let it sit for 3 minutes . remove your tea bag with out squeezing it , add your favorite whether it be honey , sugar , lemon , cream , or plain , and enjoy .
There's either something wrong with the tea or someone doesn't know how to make it correctly. The only time I have ever had a bitter aftertaste if I let it steep too long.
Medium and low grade tea can taste bitter for a number of reasons.
They contain high levels of caffeine, which tastes bitter.
They may also contain tea polyphenols (which includes your antioxidants), whichi taste astringent.
Astringent is the feeling of dry mouth.
A high quality green tea tastes sweet, that is because it contains high level of theanine and a small amount of natural sugars.
Hope it helps.
