About energy drinks?!

Question: On the bottle, it states that it is not advisable for children and pregnant women to drink. What does it contain to cause this?

Also in the ingredients, it says that it has only 100 Calories/bottle (250mL) which is the same as soda pop. However, the only ingredient that has more is sodium. Is that the only difference?

They are high in caffeine and that is why pregnant woman and children should not drink them. Also people with heart problems. You should not consume more than two cans a day either, but I say, just stay off the stuff, who needs it?!

it probably is the caffine

but college students and extremely hard working ppl need them

I'd have to say the extremely high amount of caffeine in them, as well as all of the sugar and they also can speed up your heart rate, and they tend to dehydrate your body. As a child, you are still growing and don't want anything that could harm your growth or development, so you don't want to dehydrate yourself, or have way too much sugar/caffeine.
For pregnant women, there is no telling how the energy drink will effect the baby or if the baby will like it or not. It could also harm the baby if you drink it...
