Why do they sell orange juice without pulp in grocery stores?!

Question: Isn't juice with the most pulp also the most authentic?

Answers: Isn't juice with the most pulp also the most authentic?

It is called supply and demand.
Guess most OJ drinkers prefer the no pulp version

I much prefer my OJ in the raw and fresh squeezed
It tastes better and has more valuable nutrients.

Glad you asked this question.

because some people don't like pulp and no.

Most of the "juice" is really water and sugar.

Because my daughter doesn't like the" feathers" getting caught in her throat. lol

I agree. The pulp makes the juice but have two little sibblings and they don't like the pulp but I definitely prefer the pulp.

My daughter also doesn't like the pulp. To me, that's the best part. But to each their own! :-)

It's a marketing tool for the juice manufacturer. Like sugar free or low salt items. They also make low acid, country style, and not from concentrate varieties of juices as well.

cos most people don't like the pulp - FACT! :)

Anyway they are bits not pulp - FACT! :)

cause some people can't eat it

Some people, I'm not one of them, gag on the pulp in Orange juice. You're right, pulp adds somewhat of an authentic quality to orange juice making it seem more like fresh squeezed than the filtered style.

I suppose you could say it is authentic, but some people don't like pulp in their orange juice so it is strained out.

For people like me who don't want to choke to death on pulp. The OJ has a smoother taste without all the pulp getting in the way.

I miss the pulp.
