Answers: I mean at that time Pepsi was doing better in sales than coke, so coke introduced a sh*t tasting new version, causing people to stock up on old coke in fear (im using the term "fear" very loosely hear) that there will be no more of it.

I think it was a carefully calculated decision because Coca-Cola has the best most expensive Marketers in the world, they know exactly what they are doing. Did you know in the 50s they experimented with subliminal messages in the movies by flashing the words "EAT MORE POPCORN DRINK MORE COKE" on the screen for a split second, people did not even register they read it but popcorn and coke sales doubled!!! Imagine what they are capable of now with modern Technology 50 years later!!!
at no time has pepsi led coke in the world wide market. as for that new coke garbage it is widely recognized as one of biggest marketing mistakes of all time. as for pepsi ugggh doesn't go will with bourbon or whiskey
Are you talking about that new wave coke crap they made many years ago that was short lived?? That stuff was aweful!! I used to be a Coke only drinker, I am now a Diet Pepsi drinker mostly, but I still love and crave a real coke every once in a while. I cannot stand Diet Coke and never have!!! I refuse to drink diet coke. As for coke being around if the change would not have happened I think it definately would have been. I just think someone screwed up in marketing. Don't mess with a good thing! Kind of like many people boycotting Quiznos for their mutant singing sock puppets. I bet some heads rolled in marketing for that FLOP!
