What is the best way to make coffee?!

I make mine the cowboy's way, 4 heaped spoonfuls of coffee into the pot plus 3 eggshells from breakfast. Boil it up let the coffee and shells settle pour into mugs piping hot add sugar and milk if you must.
I like mine strong and black.

Douwe Egberts has the best coffee for a filter coffee maker, and their instant is pretty good too.

For instant make sure your kettle has just boiled and add 1 teaspoon and milk and sugar to taste.

Just follow your coffee makers instructions, and then you can adjust the amount you use to suit your taste.

The Melitta way which is the freshest and tastiest...I drink my coffee black and love the taste...adding sugar, cream etc. really lessens the joy of the taste.

Get a Melitta pot (they are not expensive and in the grocery store for around $10 or $ 12 and follow the directions. I think you will find it WONDERFUL.

The kind of coffee you use will depend on your taste. If you use a coffee maker then it does it for you. If you boil a kettle then you should let the water go off the boil for a minute or 2 so it doesn't scald the granules.

Using a french press preserves the most flavor, but drip thru filters are good, really convenient and really cheap. Percolating boils and over heats the coffee and destroys a lot of the good compounds in the coffee.

This is largely a matter of preference.

Pressurized drip method from freshly ground coffee beans is the best way for me. This method is also one of the fastest, if not the fastest way.

You can go one step further and fresh roast your own beans (they are actually berry fruit seeds) then grind them, but I'm not that much of a coffee snob to go through all that trouble.

The least tasty way to make it is the old perculation method, which just boiled coffee and shot it up over coffee grounds, again and again.
