Bottled Water - After finding out that Disani and Aqua Fina are purified water from the Detroit River.?!

Question: I cant stomache the fact that these waters are just purified Detroit River water. Anyone else give up these two brands.

P.S. Have a friend who is a Pepsi regional account manager and he confirmed it.

You have to read the labels carefully. If it says "purified" water then it is just tap water that is filtered.

For true spring water the label will say spring and will list the source.

Dasani never tasted that good anyway. I've always liked Aquafina because it has such happy commercials. >_<
There's only a certain amount of water in the world... all bottled water can't be from clear rivers on a remote, deserted place.
Fiji water is decent.

Or just save all that money and drink water from your fridge, or buy one of those Pur or Brita systems for your sink.

youre a moron, ALL bottled water comes from a river, and ALL bottled water comes from a tap, ALL water comes from a river! all they do is filter it more.

All water comes from a river, did you pay attention in elementary school? apparently not. It doesn't matter the source, all water is recycled.

My daughter and were recently in Disney World, and all they sell is Disani, and it was close to 100 degrees out, so we were terribly thirsty all the time. My daughter was so mad that all they had water wise was Disani, where is that at? I won't buy it or Aqua Fina, period, now that I know for sure.

i would pay 10.00 for a glass of water when i am thirsty. i do not drink pop. and i am pretty sure the water at my house is filtered detroit river water since i live 7 streets from the river, so basically it is the same water i drink, wash my clothes and bathe in...so basically i will buy a bottle of water no matter what brand

bottled water is a great way for some people to get rich. dont waste your money! why not filter tap water yourself instead of letting pepsi or coca cola filter it and charge you by the bottle?

I know someone that works at coke and they told me a long time ago about dasani water. I just have a brita filtered picture and use my tap water to refill bottles. Tastes the same to me!

Do not bother about the source as long as they are purified why should we bother.

I cant stomach the fact that your polluting the detroit river with all your wasted plastic bottle manufacturing.

Well did you know that the very water you bathe in and boil you're noodles in is recycled sewer water???? What the heck is the difference??

If your water tasted that bad as the water we have here in Vegas, I promise you all will be buying bottled water...

If you have ever tasted real spring water you would know how great tasting it is none of the bottled water I tried has that taste I live in St Louis and I have a filter on my tap it taste like bottled water but nothing can replace good ice cold spring water when it comes from a real spring it is already ice cold.

What planet do you import your water from ? It all comes from the same place - it just depends on where you get your glass filled. Bottled water is exactly that : H2O in a jar.
If you're lucky enough to have drinkable tap water, why spend money on a disposable plastic container full of the same water that's in your faucet ?
If your tap water can't be drunk - you have an issue with your utility company failing to do their job.

There are several Dasani bottlers scattered across the country. Look at this list of bottled water brands that have passed inspection and are allowed to be sold in West Virginia. There are eleven different Dasani bottling operations and three more that use Coca-Cola HQ as their mailing address.

The Dasani that they sell here is bottled by South Atlantic Canners and comes from the Lynches River in Bishopville, South Carolina. As a resident of Bishopville, I fish, swim and bathe in unbottled Dasani water.

The city water system uses the Lynches River as it's source, so I drink Dasani straight out of the tap, and have for 40 years. It's pretty good stuff! :)

Dasani Water tastes disgusting anyway. It always has. I swear I can taste the plastic bottle of that water.

As far as you being upset that these companies use municipal tap water supplies.., uh. What did you think it was? Water from the Swiss Alps? If you want that, get ripped off by Evian. Or perhaps you thought it was from the Norwegian Alps? If you want that, get ripped off by Voss Water. Those waters cost way more than Dasani or AquaFina ever will.

Although Dasani and AquaFina use municipal tap water sources, it still goes through an extra multi stage reverse osmosis purification process. And I don't care what anyone says, AquaFina tastes 100% better than what we have for tap water in Southern California, U.S.A. Long live Aquafina.

Now normally I don't feel compelled to defend corporations, however this idea that Pepsi and Coke were misleading about the source of their purified waters is simply untrue. It says right on the label, PURIFIED DRINKING WATER. It doesn't say SPRING WATER or water from Swiss Alps. They also have a customer service phone number on the back of the label if you have further questions

Start reading the labels, unlike most people. Most people don't read labels for some reason.
