What do you like most about Starbucks?!
1. Do you like the coffee? The atmosphere? The service? (is there any exceptional service you've experienced in Starbucks?) The cakes? The fact that it's a classy place for drinking your coffee? Or other reasons?
2. What do you think about the price?
3. Where is your favorite Starbucks located and why? (please include your experience too) ^^
Thank you in advance!

Answers: I'm an Indonesian and I need to get some information about Starbucks from all over the world.

1(a). The coffee is average. Actually, a lot of the time it tastes burnt. I've found smaller, independently owned coffee shops to have much better flavour to their coffee, and more consistency with each drink that they make. Starbucks' tea drinks are pretty bad. I always avoid them.
1(b). The atmosphere is nice. I like the music, the decor, the lightning. I like the little things that can be bought, coffee related items, music, gifts, etc. Some Starbucks are too small, though, which is uncomfortable Also, Starbucks used to be a more inviting place to go to before every teenager in the country decided it was "the" place to hang out. Now there's no peace to be found in most of them.
1(c). Service varies depending on which Starbucks I go to. Usually it's good - the employees seem to work toward being friendly, and are often quick to fix mistakes they've made, and quick to recommend drinks and flavours. However, often the people who work there are rushed, and quality can suffer. Once my order was completely forgotten, and after waiting 10 minutes, I had to go ask for my drink again, and nobody knew who I was or what I had ordered. Another time, I was given the wrong drink entirely. Consistency in how drinks are made changes a lot, too, especially when they're busy. The very last one I got was really weak and bland, which was disappointing, since I didn't notice until I was halfway home with it, so I couldn't get it fixed. It's somewhat understandable though, as I'm sure it's hard to keep up with the demands of such long lines.
1(d). I can't say a lot about the cakes because I don't eat desserts. They do seem to have a nice variety, though, and it's cute that they have seasonal items depending on what holidays are near.
2. The prices are too high. I can go to the local independently owned coffee shop and get drinks for almost a dollar less, the drinks taste better, and the people know me by name, so it's a more personal experience.
3. I don't know that I have a favourite. I can think of a few that I definitely don't like going to, but there aren't any that stand out as exceptional in comparison with others. The Starbucks on the Belmont Shore in Long Beach, CA, was quite nice - roomy, relaxing, friendly people - but I think it stands out more because of it's location than anything else. It's right in the middle of a fun litle shopping and dining area, and you can sit right at the window and watch people walking up and down the street.
i like everything there my favorite drinks from star bucks is frapicino and vinalla bean
The coffee is good, the prices are expensive, and my favorite starbucks is down the road?
i like how they make brown a cool color
i like turtles.
i just like the girly froo froo drinks i usually dont even sit in starbucks to drink my coffee they have one down the road i hit up the drive thru and then i'm off to work or whatever i was doing.... ehh and i'm not too sure about the cakes there, what is it i think their pumpkin bread is really good... the prices are f-ing ridiculous like oh my gosh some steamed milk and the coffee price goes up 4 dollars, thats madness... i once gave money to a bum outside of starbucks in the city... that wasnt such a pleasant experience.
Pumpkin Spice Lattes!
I love starbucks! I go everyday before work. I live relatively close to three starbucks but I prefer the one that's furthest away because of the great service and they always have the classic coffee cake! I love the triple venti caramel macchiato with extra caramel. I just grab my jet magazine and/or newspaper and head down there to kick back and read before work. It's a rush and relaxation at the same time!
Hey I was born in Indonesia...
Back to your questions... I wish they all would make my drink the same cause every place I go to its always bitter. The only one I drink is the iced or hot caramel macchiato with extra caramel of course... The service is not as good as some places, but thats every where. Yea the price is fairly high. I think its an addiction to most people. I don't have a favorite location, but I do have some favorite coffee makers cause they make it the way I like it. Plus theres like a Starbucks on every corner these days. Just down the street from me, there are two one in a supermarket and the franchise... Its kinda good for me cause I travel around alot and I love my coffee...
Good luck on your research.
1-Yes, My 2 favorite items areDecafe French Vanilla Lattes . Are the best. and the cookies that are called Madeleine. They come in a pack of 3.
2- The price's are between $2.25-$4.55. depends on cup size. But if you want you may get a re-loadable coffee card. And use that instead of going into my pocket.
3- Really just up the street from my house and across from my job. And now in the Meijer's grocery stores, Target stores. Whoever thought of bring it out into the grocery stores. Thank You so very much. Very smart. At first when you smell the coffee. It always smelled like FEET to me. But when you drink it it's a different story. The taste is smooth. Now I'm addicted. I always get Decafe French Vanilla Latte with little foam and my cookies to go.When stepping in a coffee joint I feel much happier even when my days really suck.
coffee (caramel macciato) and yes I thing they are expensive down town
The main attraction to Starbucks is the atmosphere. Before Starbucks a person had to get coffee at a sleazy donut shop or sleazy 7Eleven or the sleazy, NOISY, pitiful romper room-like, decorated McDonalds.
Some say their coffee doesn't taste good, but how many people go to Starbucks to buy plain coffee? Not many. Their coffee only tastes bad if you don't like strong, robust coffee. Besides, you can ask for a different blend of coffee
1. NO. it tastes burnt. Oh, wait, it is burnt.
2. Too expensive for a burnt coffee and air whipped milk.
3. my favorite location is Modesto, Calif. Because it is over 1500 miles from my house and I won't be too tempted to go there often.
1. The coffee is alright. I mainly go for the specialty drinks. The atmosphere is great. I think many of their stores are well decorated and the service is great too. They usually dont mess up my order, but when they do, they will quickly correct their mistake and make the correct one for you. I've also gotten some free drink couple cuz they messed up my order.
2. The prices are reasonable. I've been to a different coffee chain (Peet's Coffee) and i found their prices to be similar to Starbucks' prices. (my favorite drink, a latte, costs 3.20 at Starbucks and it costs 3.15 for the same thing (same size) at Peets Coffee)
3. My favorite Starbucks is located across from my school. The people there know me and they are pretty friendly. Most of the time, they would talk to the customers (especially the ones that come back over and over again) and ask them how they are.
I think Starbucks is a nice place to go for coffee. Many people that say that Starbucks is over priced arent really telling the truth (they are exaggerating) and if they go around comparing prices, they would probably find out that its not overpriced.
(also an Indonesian)
1. Coffee... burnt. There's a reason why people are calling them Charbucks instead. Their espressos are a little bit better but nothing exceptional. However I don't have anything bad to say about their services. Except from the bad coffee, I think they do have good business.
2. Expensive.
3. No fave place.
I like italian coffee ... strong
STARBUCKS ...
Single expresso
Short Americano with water only 5/8
Gerenally nice atmosphere with boring music
Price: for 3 or 4 cups a day consider fair
My fave store is about 2 blocks from where I live
But still ... I love strong Italian coffee ... even thos from vending machine in Metro (subway) still a lot better than starbucks's expresso ...
dont drink it.
or any coffee at that.
