I've studied a case about starbucks when i was in college, starbucks isn't the best coffee but they have a good marketing strategy by not only offering coffee products but also a place to be beside home and work to spend time. Most stores also provide free electricity for customers, and many stores also have wireless internet access.
in other words, starbucks intends to make customers feel like home even when they're away from home.

but there are better coffee shops out there.

THEY ARE FOR 2 REASONS THEY TASTE SOOOOOOO FRIGGIN GREAT AND THE OTHER IS CUZ COFFEE HAS CAFFINE AND THAT IS ADDICTIVE!!!!! :) SO THIS IS WHY AND THEY ARE CONVENIENT !!!!!!!! JUST DRIVE THRU! MY FAV IS THE MARBEL MOCHA MACCIADO I LIKE IT HOT OR OVER ICE NOT BLENDED BUT JUST OVER ICE!!!!!! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not the coffee , it's the ambience. If only they provide wireless like Mc cafe all will be equal.
The coffee isn't any better than a lot of other places, but it's a nice place to go with wireless Internet to relax.
