Is the water from a soda fountain tap water? (from a college dining hall in boston, MA)?!


Question: just to let you know i go to a school called Boston University and the food catering is run by Aramark, every time i drink the water from the soda fountain i wonder if it is tap water... is it?

I dont think its regular unfiltered tap water. Its not that healthy to drink regular unfiltered tap water and I doubt BU will do business with any food catering company that doesnt filter their water.

The water is safe (most likely) There probably is at least a filtering unit that is connected to it and the water that you drink is probably drinking water (tap water that has been filtered and treated and now safe to drink)

yes, if you look close at the dispenser you will see a water pipe connection. most units run the water through a filter.

Yes, it's carbonated tap water. It's filtered and chlorinated and fine to drink. You're not dead.
