Why do old people drink coffee instead of milk?!

Question: ever wonder why?

Answers: ever wonder why?

I am currently 42 and since i am not sure what 'old' is to you, I'll tell you how I came to be a coffee drinker. ( BTW, I was raised in Louisiana on a farm by my grandparents). I was brought up drinking coffee (probably around age 10) because it was more available then milk (our milk came from the cow, not store bought), then after that changed,(moved back to live with parents,,late 70's) I drank coffee because cup for cup coffee was cheaper then milk, and my folks had 6 of kids to support. So anyways, that is how I ended up drinking coffee, and if you polled older people you would probably find that to be the case more often then not.

Now as far as anyone under 35, I would guess that they picked it up from their parents. And also that they drink all the fancy stuff with it, like sugar, cream, flavorings, you know,,all the things not available to us older folks..

because coffee = caffeine.

First of all in all honesting why are so darn lazy to drink milk and have a good cup of hot and hot coffee. it is good if you a coffee drinker like me

I don't know about other "old people" but I drink coffee because I like it. And, the lactose in dairy products gives me the tummy ache.

coffee for the elderly milk is fatting

coffee make them awake all the time because of caffin. Milk is fat..they don't have a taste for the fat free milk...

I don't know about old people, ask your classmates if they like coffee and you'll be amazed how many of them do.
are they old people??

They need the extra boost of energy.

its not just for old people

I'm not old and I drink my coffee cause I love coffee, it brings out the best in me.

My dad won't drink milk coz whe he went to school the teachers would have the kids sit out in the sun and drink milk that had gone sour coz it was so hot. So now his meomories of warm sour milk turn him off milk by itself but he likes it in coffee.

its the idea that coffee makes them full and milk makes them frequent toilet visits ,,im not a coffee drinker and im a little younger that the "olds" ;D
