I am also from Texas and Dr. Pepper originated here in Texas also I believe. I love Dr. Pepper.

coke, sprite, dr pepper, pepsi, etc
we call it soda

Here in the Philippines it's Royal (orange soda) and Sparkle (lemon soda). Both are great.

In fact, all the pops here are great ... they're made with can sugar.

I don't think the regionalization of the name is as simple as north and south.I know many parts of the south say pop and many parts of the north say soda and vice versa. I am from Oklahoma and have said pop my whole life. Now, my kids' step-father, who is also from Oklahoma has them saying soda. I keep telling them soda is something you put in your biscuits.

They are called soft drinks in Asia... my favourite's coke.

Soda! RC or Coca-Cola being my favorites. (Chicago)

Here in Utah, we call it pop or soda. My favorites are Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and Ginger Ale. Oh, and you're welcome! ^.^

Like Fanta orange and grape tastes, nationally produced Mountain Dew...also like Naked O,J. good stuff.

Coke Products

I'm originally from Michigan and we always drank Faygo products. I recently heard on the news that this company (celebrating their 100th anniversary this year) coined the term "pop" because that is the noise it made when opening a bottle up.
Another favorite up there is Vernors (It is a ginger flavored soda).

I live in Indiana (north central) and I call it soda, most around me call it pop. Faygo is a regional brand. We don't have Big Red, I have had it though, but Faygo and others have a red cream soda that is similar to it. I like RC Cola. (I grew up on the west side of northern Illinois).
