I always gave my children Kool-aid, Milk, lemonade, or juice. I always prefered milk, but kool-aid before sodas for sure. You can regulate the amount of sugar. I would always use a little less each time I made it and they didn't seem to notice. I gave them sodas on occassion and made sure they drank plenty of water. Now that they are older they accually drink mostly water with there meals.

well I think the koolaide would be better and if high sugar amounts are a problem just put splenda or sweatner in the koolaide,we have diabetics in the family so we use splenda and doesn't really sacrafice a whole lot of taste if any(can't hardly remember the taste of sugar in koolaide)

Kool-aid has only slightly less sugar than sodas. My suggestion to you is to steer clear of both. I would stick with a fresh brewed decaf iced tea, with a lil lemon and a sprinklle of sugar. Caffeine, and sugar late at night, in the amounts present in koolaid and sodas will make bed time nearly impossible. They will be wired.

milk, or apple juice that has no sugar added (it still has sugar in it, though)

sodas filled with crap even diet sodas are bad for you cause the sweetners and additive sit in your bladder and damage it, koolaids better plus they make sugarfree koolaid

i say get um used to the coke, cause if you restrict them from sugar when they go out alone they are gonna crave it and go overboard, so don't restrict the sugar.
