Non-alcoholic alternative to champagne?!

Question: I'm cooking my husband a really nice dinner next week and wanted to buy a nice drink that would be an alternative to champagne - is there anything that tastes similar but with no alcohol? (I'm in early pregnancy and he no longer drinks anyway).
Thanks...

Thanks...

We bought a bottle of NA sparkling wine for my brother in law called "Fre." He said it was a very close substitute (he became a non-drinker a few years prior, so he'd know). I think that it's real champagne that's had the alcohol removed somehow. Either way, it might be something to look into.

Schloer or Appletize- both very nice alternatives and IMO better tasting than the real thing any way- oh and theres Aqua Libra too which is similar

Look out for a drink called "Purdeys". It comes in small bottles. I think you'll approve...

It isn't sweet and sickly like most non-alcoholic fizzy drinks.

Edit:
And lets all give a big round of applause to the thumbs-downing fucktard who thinks other peoples suggestions and opinions are wrong...

Most supermarkets will stock alcohol free Perry's and 'asti spumante'. I'm not sure, but BabyCham was always regarded as low alcohol.

Schloer is good.
and Ame is brilliant. (a very nice sparkling drink.)
.... otherwise, elder flower cordial, etc...
(otherwise, sparkling juices.)

There's a sparkling cider that may do the trick. It comes in a champagne looking bottle. It can be found in supermarkets.

schloer (sparkling fruit drink) its georgous and you can get it in diiferent flavours white grape is my favorite, thats what I'll be drinking the christmas (driving lol) good luck with the baby x

Have you thought of Elderflower Presse - it used to be called Elderflower Champagne - it is very light and has a lovely delicate taste and aroma - Bottle Green is a very good brand!

Now you're just being silly !

I agree with the recommendation for sparkling cider. NA wines just don't taste that good.

Martinelli's is one brand I can recommend. This is just sparkling cider, not hard cider and not apple wine. It is refreshing, not overly sweet, and good with dinner.

It's a good time of year to find this all over. Sam's club has it, as well as many supermarkets. If you live near a Trader Joe's, they usually have this and lots of other interesting, festive sparkling juices that are dry and sophisticated (e.g. pear).

Hi there, when I was pregnant we used to buy Sparkling Cider, Imported from Spain, as an alternative to Champagne. It is really good Chilled.
My husband used to prepare a non-alcoholic Sangria with it, he also bought a fountain drink. It look so nice and romantic.
Here is the recipe:
4 oranges: 2 juiced, 2 halved lengthwise and thinly sliced crosswise
1/3 to 1/2 cup of sugar
1 bottle of sparkling Cider
2 lemons, thinly sliced
Ice cubes, for serving
He added vegetable color to make it look like Sangria.
Cheers! Enjoy it.

get schloer! its tasty and there are lots of flavours (and the name also sounds sexy hehe)

If you want to make your own a good recipe is frozen white grape juice with gingerale or 7-up

fizzy water

There isn't one. Just make some home-made lemonade... and if you want it fizzy, make it strong and dilute it with soda, or sparkling water...

I never have liked Champagne anyway... I like a proper drink, Champagne is over-rated

BTW 7-Up is the American name for what we in the UK call lemonade, (fizzy, clear and pretty awful) their lemonade is just what it is (and pretty delicious, it is) real lemony cloudy nectar. A lot of Americans make it from scratch all the time..

Sparkling cider or sparkling grape juice, there are so many non alcoholic drinks on the market they look like alcoholic drinks but have no alcohol in them. If you can't find them White grape juice works well. Congrats to you
