Are those energy drinks(monster, redbull, sobe...Ect) Really accually bad for you?!

Question: They have so much caffeine that they could be harmful if you drank too many, or too many on top of other caffeinated drinks such as coffee or colas.

Also - when you drink stuff like that you may be filling up on it and not eating or drinking other more healthy foods.

way too much caffeine.
heart rate will go up to much and you could actually die

actually many college kids who try to pull all nighters have had there heart stop after too many energy drinks. It's way too concentrated caffeine.

it is harmful if u drink more than 4 a day because i know someone who did that and they had their stomach messed up for days!!!!!:o

A couple years ago I was in a meeting, and one of my coworkers was drinking a red bull... she spilled a little on her purple cotton shirt... and it the spill BLEACHED the shirt right in from of my eyes. I was amazed.

Be really careful with those things! One a day, for a healthy and normal person, is probably ok; I'd never go over that. Some of them have caused problem because of the caffeine and herbal junk. I help out in the student clinic now and again; it's not uncommon to have a college student come in sick because of chugging an energy drink.

Read the labels and research the ingredients, maybe talk your school nurse. Then decide what's right and safe for you when you have all of the risks and potential benefits.

they could potentially kill you if you drank way too much. the average drink has around 80 mg of caffeine, which is about equal to a weak cup of coffee. some newer ones have as much as 300 mg of caffeine in them! Red Bull is banned in France, where an 18 year old drank 4 cans before plaing basketball and shortly died after. if used in moderation youre fine. like many things, too much is a bad thing. keep in mind they have TONS of sugar in them so, caffeine aside, that you certainly cant call them healthy.

I have friends that were in the hospital with heart problems from drinking energy drinks. One friend's heart almost burst. He had a heart rate over 180 (usual is around 70 or 80) and spent several days in intensive care. Just because they claim to be healthy, that doesn't mean it's true.
