I love different kinds of tea, preferably the loose variety. Loose tea is best when made in the pot without being in a tea ball (in other words, just have the tea loose in the pot). A side strainer for the cups will catch the leaves as the tea is poured.

I'm enjoying a Russian Earl Grey loose tea now, which has cornflower, small pieces of dried orange peel, lemongrass and the usual bergamot, along with the black tea. It's very refreshing. Other favourites are Buckingham Palace Garden Party tea (yes, the actual tea that is served at the Queen's garden parties), Irish Breakfast (for a robust cup), and there are some interesting fruit teas (again, loose is preferable because the flavours are more intense.) Another favourite is lemon-ginger tea. The ginger is not too strong, and combined with the lemon, it is delicious.

As for herbal teas, chamomile is a good one, as is peppermint, or raspberry zinger.
