What has helped you out with caffeine withdrawl....?!

Question: Would like to hear what has helped others kick the caffeine habit. I am a heavy, heavy soda drinker. Artificial sweetners make me sick so diet soda is out. The sleepless mights and other symptoms are getting old, time to kick the habit. Just want to hear what has helped others, thanks

My best advice is do it slowly, or stock up on Advil. Years ago, I woke up with coffee, and then throughout the day drank 2-3 cans of coke. Now that is not a lot to some people, but it was enough for me to have raging headaches when I tried to stop cold turkey. Wean yourself down to a bottle, and seriously, then a half a bottle, and then learn to drink non-caffeinated drinks. It helps, when you're first off the caffeine, to have some other type of drink in hand.

Drinking lots of water and chewing gum.

Definitely ease out if it slowly. Every day back down on how much soda you're drinking. Do this for approx. 1-2 weeks until you've completely tapered off. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Good for you kicking the habit!! All that caffeine is just not good for the body...
