Is bottled water all a scam, why can't we have clean water through the faucet?!

Question: People are gullible

Answers: People are gullible

buy yourself a nice water filter and drink all the clean water you want. Brita is a good one.

Most of the bottled waters on the market ARE mere tap water. That's a fact!

Yeah I would get a brita filter and hook it up to your sink but it is true I know that Dasani water is just tap water.

you can have clean water from the tap. bottled water is more convenient for many people but i drink tap water exclusively unless i am on the road, then i buy some bottles.

at home and at work, I fill a container and let it sit open overnight. all the chemicals have left the water and it tastes great.

we do have clean water from the faucet. It's just been treated through the system with chlorine and other chemicals. Bottled water doesn't have flouride added to it like city water does, so you need to get your flouride from another source. If "bottled water" is just that......bottled water, and doesn't claim to be natural spring water, then it's probably like Ozarka, which is filtered tap water. Read the labels. You can get a good water filter, and have all the "clean" water you can afford.

In the United States, it is legal to sell bottled water that is less clean than water through the faucet.

In the U.S., water supplied by the local water company through the water mains must be cleaner when it leaves their pipes than bottled water is required to be. If the water reaching your faucet in the U.S. is less clean than bottled water is required to be, then the problem is in your pipes.

There are some other countries (Mexico, for example), where this is not true.
