Is Mello Yello around anymore?!

Question: Because I can't find it...and I used Mello Yello to get off crack (kidding) and I need it because I'm dependent on it. Isn't that sad? But seriously, what happened? It was a great alternative to Mt. Dew, Sprite, or whatever.

LOL....I think they discontinued it in the 70's or 80's.

Mello Yello is a caffeinated, citrus flavored soft drink produced and distributed by the Coca-Cola Company. It was introduced in 1979 to compete with PepsiCo's Mountain Dew. While it is greatly outsold by Mountain Dew, the product nonetheless allows Coca-Cola to have a presence in the citrus soft drink market segment.
Coca-Cola has released no plans to phase out Mello Yello; it was speculated that Vault would be its successor. This may due to the fact that, in the citrus sodas' home market, the South and particularlly the Southeast, Mello Yello still vastly outsells Vault.

We can still get it down here in the South (NC) ... we also have Cheerwine and Sundrop which you can only get down here too ...

its still around

There have been three flavored variants of Mello Yello. Mello Yello Cherry was released in response to Mountain Dew Code Red. The other two variants were peach-flavored Mello Yello Afterglow, and Mello Yello Melon. All three were only available for a limited time, and in limited markets.

In 1996, Coca-Cola released a new citrus-based beverage called Surge to try to take more share from Mountain Dew, but by 2001, Surge had been phased out as Mello Yello proved more steady in sales.
