How has your health improved since you became a vegetarian?!

The main thing that happened to me was I felt so much more energy and love for life. I didn't feel so 'full' I felt 'light' and I also naturally lost wieght. I felt cleaner and I still do. Our bodies don't need all that meat.

My energy level seemed to have taken a major leap. I feel like I can actually go a whole day running around to different places and still be active when I get home. I think my sight has gotten slightly better too. I wore my glasses today after such a long time and had to take it off after a few minutes because it was a bit blurry. It's all those vegetables. =D

I was healthy before because I never ate much meat--especially red. I find I'm more hungry now and I crave the fat and protein in cheese and nuts. I've gained weight but it's okay (I also quit smoking three months ago). My body will regulate itself. I'll give it a year to lose 10-15 lbs. I know I'm not meant to be "chubby." I never had a roll before and that roll gets in the way of everything from bending over to tie my tennis shoes to having sex, etc., etc., etc. I exercised recently for a month and gained two more pounds. (I was even more hungry.) Now I am just going to chill out over the holidays and start some ritual in January if I need to (which I expect I will). No big deal.

I didn't feel much when I became a vegetarian a while ago, but when I became a vegan I just had more appreciation for food, and I enjoy food alot more now than I used to.

I've always been vegetarian (my parents were vegetarians) but for awhile I went vegan. At first I thought it would be really difficult but my weight dropped, my energy went up, my skin and nails improved...it was awesome!

Energy level went up. But so did my weight, even though I eat fewer calories than I did 6 months ago, and I am exercising lots more.

no pimples, can binge eat without gaining weight, can eat alot of junk and dont have to worry, don't feel guilty or dirty.

you STILL mainly have to take vitamins because my mom says that i get pale whenever i dont eat mine

My cholesterol is so much lower, I have more energy, my skin has cleared up, I lost about 10 lbs, I don't feel as tired, and I don't get sick as frequently.
