So what kind of things are in our meat that are so bad?!

Question: I am a vegetarian but I wanna know more.

Answers: I am a vegetarian but I wanna know more.

The number one bad thing about eating meat is cholesterol that builds up plaque in your arteries.

People's misconceptions are far more dangerous than any biological agent.

steroids...haven't you noticed our young teen girls look like they're closer to 18-19 these days..chickens are the worse

Look at different sites like PETA and The American Cancer Society, including Havard Medical School and Mayo Clinic. Studies have found that women who eat more than 3 ounces of red meat a week have a significantly higher rate of breast cancer, men who eat more than 8 ounces have greater prostate or colon cancer. I love my breasts and don't want to contribute toward their loss if I can help it. This is just the tip of the iceberg with health issues and meat--especially red meat.

Cholesterol, steroids, growth hormones, antibiotics, nitrates and animal residues.
But its soooo much more essential to our health than vegetables. Yeah right!

Hormones and such in the feed. (You can get farm meats that have not been fed synthetic products). Also, cholesterol. Many people have a difficult time digesting meat but don't realize it until they stop eating it.

Prions are bad. :-)

Also, cholesterol and saturated fat aren't so great for us... in small amounts, it's fine. But most people these days eat way too much.

well, try researching this, because you probably wont believe it.

Rendering plants is where all the dead animals, whether they be road kill or the millions of dogs/cats that are euthanized each year, end up. All these animals are thrown into these machines that grind up the animals and turn them into a powdery like substance which is then used for things like, cosmetics and skin care products. And another huge purpose for the powder goes right into the meats your are eating as feed for the cattle!

Pretty freakin disgusting if you ask me!

Check it out. It's 100% true. If that's not enough alone to make you want to not eat meat, well, good luck!
