BIG Y's all natural meat?!

Question: Big Y seems to be getting their meat from Naturewell beef suppliers - what do they mean when they say that their meat is guaranteed to be hormone and antibiotic free according to a 120-day affidavit program? Can this be done successfully and the meat STILL not be free-range? I've asked them but the butchers haven't been able to answer me and their corporate office has not yet replied to me. Thank you!!

Hormone and antibiotic free means that the animals were not given any artificial chemical treatment to make them fatter and produce more meat.

Free range means that the animals were allowed to roam around and not confined to cages.

So the short answer to your question is yes.

You're in the wrong section.

Although I'd say being hormone and antibiotic free are irrelevant to how they're treated and what kind of environment they're raised in.
