Can fruitarians eat...?!


Question: Dried fruit, cheese, tea, coffe or hot chocolate, Jam and toast or bread for that? Do they have any warm food, is the vitamins they get from fruit and vedge enough to be called healthy?

Fruitarians eat fruits AND also vegetables that do not require the destruction of the plant, but grow like a fruit (like tomatoes). They do eat dried fruit, but they do not eat cooked food (like bread) or anything that's been cooked with a bunch of sugar added to it (like jam). They do eat nuts which is a good source of protein and oil. They keep it very simple. There is no reason they cannot get plenty of vitamins and minerals from foods that are "allowed" according to their lifestyle, but I've never tried it or looked into it very hard so I can't say for sure how healthy it is. There are a lot of people, though, that live quite healtfully on a raw diet which is pretty close to a fruitarian diet, so I would bet if done right it'd be fine. The biggest problem, I think, would be in getting enough calories. You'd have to really work at it and do your nutrition homework, I think.

There is nothing healthy about eating only one food or type of food, be it junk food or fruit.

As long as you get the iron and enzymes you need! For awhile I ate just Fruit both the sweet ones and the ones such as tomatos. I drank a few herb teas too! I was healthy too! Don't know what rule Fruitarians go by but Eating more fruit than veggies is healthier than eating more Veggies than fruit! Why do you think fruits cost more than Veggies? It's because they are better for you! It's best to eat some of both.. Although you don't have to Variety is the Spice of Life!

what are fruititarians? what ever they are they are missin out on some yummy fruits!

The key to being a healthy vegeterian is by consuming enough protein. You can do this by taking vitamins.

Vegeterians can eat a whole ton of stuff! And there's always Faux meat.

There's fake burgers, chicken, meatballs, and it all tasted like the real thing!

And think about all the snacks. ;]

They can eat anything they want. They choose not to eat non-fruits. Look up what "fruit" consists of. Learn what "fruit" means in the botanical sense. It's more than just apples and bananas.
