Answers: I dont like it because it has the consistancy of eggs and I am allergic to eggs so it makes me sick.

Of course it's ok I have the same thing just try to eat a lot of beans and nuts so you can still get the protein and stuff

Different people like diffident things

sure why not?
i mean like im no vegatarian cuz i love meat. sry
but i would say yea who cares if you like tofu or not : )

You need to make sure you are eating other foods with protein in to stop you from getting ill.

Sure - one thing I do is get soft Tofu, and blend it into tomato sauce. It doesn't change the taste and makes the sauce nice and thick.

Yah Totally. There's no rule that says that if your vegeterian that you have to like tofu.

Hope i helped.

Sure, it's not like you're committing a crime or anything. Besides your allergic to eggs and you're trying to protect your health. Just remember to get your proteins from other products. GOOD LUCK (^-^)

There are lots of ways to prepare tofu so that it doesn't have the consistency of eggs. Experiment a little. Here's one way.

Cut up the tofu into small cubes. Heat some oil in a skillet. When the oil's hot drop lower the flame to medium and add the tofu pieces. Turn the heat up again. Stir the tofu around while it cooks to a nice golden brown. Remove from the skillet and drain on some brown paper or paper towels. You can use this instead of meat in your favorite spaghetti sauce. Tofu takes ont he flavor of anything it's cooked with. The smaller the pieces, the less likely it is that you'll get that eggy consistency.

Also, there's no rule that vegetarians have to like tofu. You can get soy protein from many other sources.

It's ok to not like things. My brother doesn't like chocolate, my dad doesn't like coconut, I despise avocado; but we're not shunted to one side for it.
So many people have allergies these days you shouldn't feel bad about being allergic to what many veggies use as a substitute.

Yes, that's perfectly fine. You just need to make sure that you are getting a source of protien elsewhere. Try drinking protein shakes with water, if you find the right one they can be pretty tasty.

There are no "rules" to being a vegetarian. You should eat what makes you feel good & not worry about the foods that you don't like. There are other ways that you can prepare tofu however. You can buy the firm type of tofu (it's the only kind I like) and give that a try. The fun thing about being vegetarian is that you can be creative with your food. Don't let boundaries or labels hold you back!

I don't believe there is a set rule that a vegetarian has to like tofu or anything else. Eat what you like..take care..

As someone else said, you can try different types of tofu. I like the extra firm type - it's not smooth and gelatenous like the softer kinds, and to me it doesn't mimic the consistency of eggs at all. You can also freeze the firm or extra firm, then thaw and drain the water, to get a "meatier" consistency.

No. You're out of the club. Turn in your card at the door.

You can dislike anything you want. Wtf kind of question is that? Omnivores don't say "I hate fish, can I still be an omnivore?"

YES

Lol I'm a vegan and I've never even had tofu.

Yes. There's are beads, nuts & legumes. I hope that you are able to find alternative that you like.

you can eat soya (vadee)that is dry. that is pure soyabean. tofu is doubtfull the way the prepare that.

NO, you're out of the club!

i'm suprized people like tofu regardless if they eat meat or not. I find it to be a choke it down type of food and if i had to choose between eating meat or tofu i'd eat meat

Absolutely, it's fine.
I'm a vegetarian and I've never tried tofu...
:)

I have been vegetarian for 21 years and I have only recently begun eating tofu with any regularity (I used to be OK with small, well-hidden amounts.) I decided to try cooking with it for myself and have found that, when I have some control over the texture/moistness, I can make it pretty darned good. But, I managed 20+ years as a vegetarian who didn't like tofu, so it's possible. There are plenty of other foods you can eat.

NO ONE LIKES TOFU !!!

No. You're not a real vegetarian.

no.
