All Vegetarians!?!
thanks:)
Answers: Give me the top best reasons why it better.
thanks:)
* Meat is Murder
*Millions of lambs, calves and pigs are conscious when their throats are cut
*Four fifths of meat chickens have broken * deformed bones, legs & feet by the time they are slaughtered
* Up to a fifth of chickens may be conscious when they enter the scalding tank to loosen their feathers
* 24 % of cows are pregnant when slaughtered
*40% of pigs have piglets have teeth crushed with pliers; tails are cut off without anaesthetic
* The amount of protein fed to US beef herds would feed virtually the whole population of India and China (2 billion people)
*Meat production causes topsoil erosion, crop shortages, carbon emissions and pollution
*Veg diet reduces cholesterol levels, obesity, risks of cancer, lymphoma, kidney problems and heart disease
* Vegetarians less likely to suffer strokes
* Force feeding and force breeding animals is cruel and creates over population and starvation
* Most of the world;s fisheries are on the point of colapse
* Subsidising the failing meat industry costs governments billions which would be better spent improving life for all.
Animals get to live.
i am a vegatarian!!
it is better because you are not eating or paying people who torture animals
if everybody saw how the animals are treated to get meat, i am sure that everybody would be a vegatarian!!
ur not killing harmless animals, duh
It's better because your saving animals. The first time i saw a chicken being killed on my grandpa's farm, i lost my appetite at dinner... when we were gonna eat it. I've been a vegitarian ever since. It's also better because you don't have all the grease from them to make you fatter. That's how i keep skinny! Hope this helps! SAVE THE ANIMALS!!
being a vegan is better because it helps you stay skinny but healthy at teh same time. but to be a true vegan you need to eat lots of fruits, veges, and milk
good luck

better than eating meat? bcuz think of this... animal cruelty, KFC much??? ok so it tastes good but they torture the chickens! OMG so sad
Do vegetarians become vegetarians because of their religion, their tastes, or because they watched animal planet?
why would u want to eat a animal? eating another being
with veg no matter how old it is or what way you cook it it's harmless and you can eat it raw. with meat, if its cooked wrong, left out or eaten raw it can KILL you if your unlucky!! thats my main reason...
High Fiber, no fat, low calorie, good source of vitamins and minerals. Need any more reasons
I am not participating in any way to the cruel murder of animals, I never feel guilty eating veggie meat, I am putting fewer chemicals into my body, need I say more. Oh, one more thing-- I am teaching respect towards all beings.
i dont think vegtarians are vegtarians because they dont like eating animals it is that they like veggies
I WANT to become vegetarian after all the fast food I ate in the past week.. and I hold off on the meat so I will answer anyway. There are some good and bad things about being a vegetarian but here are some good reasons: vegetables are generally healthy unless fried in grease, and many vegetables and fruits have different vitamins and parts which can improve your health or prevent illness (I think I also heard that carrots improve eyesight!), you can know you aren't contributing to animal slaughter, and there are still many great recipes to make only using fruits and vegetables! Although being a vegetarian can be great it can also be BAD for your health. Meat is what gives you iron for your blood so you may need to take supplements and you have to eat very carefully and make sure you're balancing your meals. But generally I think vegetarianism is better as long as you're responsible and keep your meals balanced.
My thoughts exactly! My partner is a veggie and he says that he doesn't want anything to die in order to feed him. As a consequence, he has to have what he is given(he works on a ship and is at the cooks mercy as he is the only vegetarian on board) and that is mainly eggs and cheese. Now his cholesterol levels are up and he has to take medication for it, and has gained a lot of weight.
i don't understand your question. do you mean why vegetarianism is better?
1. less cholesterol
2. less fat in most veggie diets
3. easier to get allowances of fruits and veggies every day
4. better for the environment
5. less cruelty to animals
6. it is easier to keep your weight under control
7. less risk of food borne illnesses
to me, the most important reason, and why i'm a vegetarian, is that there is less cruelty to animals being a vegetarian. i used to be a vegan but it was too hard for me to do going out to eat all the time. i did it for 7 years though.
most vegetarians live longer than the average meat eater. it's easier to get your fruits and veggies into your diet. there's also a satisfaction in knowing that vegetarian foods are easier on the environment to grow than animals are to raise to be meat.
go vegetarian! :)
1. It's much healthier. As a vegetarian, it's easier to cut out a lot of the fats from your diet as well as incorperate many more fruits and vegetables which are often lacking from North American diets. Meat contains a lot of trans and saturated fats, while vegetables and many meat alternatives such as tofu, nuts, fake meats, etc. have less cholesterol, no trans or saturated fats. AND they all fulfill your iron and protein needs.

2. It's better for the environment. Factory farms are one of the top polluters.

3. You're saving an animal's life obviously.

4. From personal experience, I found that once I went vegetarian, my skin got MUCH clearer. I used to have really bad skin.. greasy and frequent breakouts. Little over a month after I went vegetarian, I noticed that my skin wasn't as oily and I didn't have to use powder to absorb shine anymore. I also noticed that I rarely had breakouts, even around that time of the month. I used to use Proactiv for my bad skin, but now I use really simple and much cheaper products like Nivea and Avon.
5. Also from personal experience... I'm one of those people who have to juggle between school (92% average student!), a boyfriend, a social life, and work. My usual bedtime is 1:00am or even later... never earlier, and I'd wake up at 6:30am. Before I went vegetarian, this used to take a HUGE toll on my body. I would be so fatigued and cranky at school, and I would be angered and irritated so easily. When I went vegetarian, the change in my energy levels was literally almost instantaneous. Little over a week or two after I went vegetarian, I began to notice that I was less irritable, and had more energy to do everyday things, even work out. Obviously, having this little sleep is not good for anyone, but this just points out that going vegetarian really does do wonders in terms of energy levels.
There are no "best reasons". If you have personal beliefs that make it so you don't want to eat meat, then that's the best reason. If you don't, nobody can convince you.
I do it for health reasons. It's much easier for your body to process vegetables versus meat. Meat stays in your digestive tract longer because we weren't meant to eat huge chunks of meat at every meal. Since switcing over to a vegetarian diet almost three years ago, I've lost a ton of weight and many previous health problems have disappeared.
My 7 year old son made the statement " If you love animals why would you want to eat them?" So that is the best reason really animals are not eaten!
I'm not gonna try and convince you to become one, but c'mon be fair. Animals have a right to live too!
*u save approx 95 animals lives per year
*healthier choice(less likely to suffer from obesity, Heartattacks, strokes, diabetes and many other conditions that could kill you)
*Fun
*You become stonger mentally
There are more great reasons of becoming veggie/vegan but they are my top 4
First learn how to spell.
Second oh please...
You get to enjoy the first truly guilt free meal of your life!
Animals look much cuter in their natural form than having their dead bits covered in gravy.
As soon as something dies, it starts rotting. Think about it.
You get to join a super cool club where we hand out prizes at every meeting...oh wait...that doesn't happen. But it should.
You can have pets and not have to feel shame knowing you eat their (and our) cousins.
You're not a murderer.
Just a little reminder to all of those who have conveniently forgotten. MILLIONS of animals are killed during the farming of your produce. That's no less murdering than meat slaughter.
It blows my mind that you people actually think butchering animals is murder but killing animals in agricultural farming is not. More hypocrisy in the house.

Edit: In response to the poster above me: Yes, animals are killed during the cultivation of crops for vegetarian diets. However, far more animals are killed during the cultivation of crops for a meat based diet. Plants have to be fed to the livestock, and only a small fraction of the food that an animal eats is converted into meat for human consumption. Far fewer animals would be killed during the cultivation of crops if humans ate these crops directly, instead of feeding to these crops to livestock.
Or think of it this way: Inevitably, some people will die in car accidents. This doesn't give us the right to treat them cruelly and run them over on purpose.
im vegan, in fact, and its healthier, and animals dont suffer for something we can live w/ out
1. I'm healthy.
2. I'm living a natural lifestyle.
3. I'm not eating pus, blood, sh*t, and steroids.
4. I'm not contributing $ to horrific animal torture.
I'm sorry I forgot what I was going to write. I'm too busy eating this delicious leftover turkey sandwich.
Who says it is better.?
Who says it is healthier?
My veggie chef friend is a mine of really fattening veggie recipes!
