As a vegetarian, do you eat smaller meals, more often?!

Question: I find myself eating less at each meal and more frequent meals during the day. I was wondering if anyone else has made that change. It seems I am more satisfied if I do that and not as hungry between meals.

Yes. I eat about six salads a day. And am always snacking on carrot stick, grapes, crackers, and things of the like all through out the day. I only eat one 'real' full meal every other day. I'm also constantly drinking water, tea and juices. I think the majority of vegetarians and vegans do the same.

The best part is, I have a fantastic complexion because of it.

I've always been a grazer and not a set schedule meal eater. That hasn't changed since I went vegetarian almost 10 years ago, nor vegan, one year ago.

Hmm...Before I became veggie, I ate only 2 meals a day- the second usually a fairly big meal. Being a vegetarian for 15 years, this hasn't changed.
Have you been exercising more? I tend to eat smaller meals more frequently when I do.

No I eat the same amount of food as I did in my meat eating days. I have the same amount at breakfast, lunch and dinner and I usually have a snack in the evening.

i dont! actually, the best thing to do is have a light breakfast, a big lunch, and a light supper. you can have small snacks too. -- breakfast is when you break your fast from supper until morning, hence the name breakfast (breaking the fast.) lunch used to be known as dinner, which meant to dine in. thats when you have the big meal (at around noon-1 o'clock.) then supper, short for supplement, is when you'd have a small meal, such as a salad or soup. hence the name supper, for supplement.

I find If I have a little meat during my meal I stay full longer.

Not me. But I don't eat enough veggies and lots of grains.
I think if I was just eating raw stuff from the garden then it would be different. Maybe.
